Portable Grills – What You Need to Know
Who doesn’t enjoy having a barbecue? Whether you are just cooking for yourself or having a bunch of friends over, nothing tastes better than a good barbecue meal. Depending on your talents and your budget, you can cook anything from burgers and dogs to more elaborate type fare. Me, I’m pretty basic. Give me a burger, a hot dog and some corn and I’m a very happy camper.
I enjoy barbecue so much, I always like to have a portable propane grill in the back of my car. During the fall I always bring it to the football game so me and a few friends can cook up some things while tailgating out in the parking lot. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. A portable grill, good friends and good food and hopefully a victory by my team.
My wife, bless her heart, bought me a new grill for Christmas. My other one had served us faithfully for several years, but I guess it was time for a new one. After reading several reviews, she bought the Weber 386002 Q 100 Portable Propane Gas Grill. I do have to say she made a great choice buying this portable grill.
This propane grill measures about 28” by 15” by 15” when closed and only weighs about 30 pounds. This makes it very easy to leave in the trunk and to bring with us.
This Weber grill has a 189 square inch cooking surface. That is plenty of room for steaks or burgers or hot dog for me and my friends. It has an 8,500 BTU stainless steel burner with push button ignition and an adjustable burner valve.
To insure that you will have this grill a long time, it has a cast-aluminum lid and body with a glass reinforced frame. The cooking grates are porcelain enameled cast iron grates. Also include is a drip pan and a weather resistant handle.
Weber backs this grill with a 5 year limited warranty.
